Sustainable toys in rubberwood

All Plantoys products are made from natural and sustainable rubberwood. To ensure that Plantoys can keep the wood natural, no fertiliser of any kind is added for 3 years before the tree is felled for toy production. Rubber trees thrive in the Amazon jungle and in Asia, where Plantoys products are produced. Rubberwood is solid wood that does not weigh very much. Therefore, babies can easily lift and play with the wooden products. Rubberwood is very durable, which is why Plantoys products are very sturdy and can withstand being played with.

Plantoys is known for its incredibly beautiful and sustainable products made from rubberwood. One of their great successes is their water toys made from rubberwood. The products have not received any chemical treatment, but due to the rubberwood, the products can withstand water.

When the wood used in toy production needs to dry, this takes place in a chemical-free process. When Plantoys sends the wood for drying, it is to make the wood last for many years. If the wood is not sent for drying, there is a risk that it will rot, as the wood is wet. The drying process is naturally completely free from chemicals, just like the rest of Plantoys sustainable production.
