KRAES sunscreen SPF 30 is a 100% natural and water-resistant sunscreen for easy and effective protection against the sun's UVA and UVB rays. Ideal for the whole body and all sizes – including the very small ones. Developed with et natural sun filter (non-nano zinc), which whitens minimally. The Danish Cancer Society and the Health Authority recommend SPF 30 for sensitive skin/children in Denmark. In KRAES sunscreen, we use et mineral filter (non-nano) zinc, which is often referred to as “physical filter.” The filter works like et mirror; it reflects the sun's rays and is therefore effective against UVA and UVB. The term “non-nano” means that the particles in the zinc are large enough not to penetrate the skin. The Danish Cancer Society and the Health Authority recommend using SPF 15 for normal skin and SPF 30 for sensitive skin in Denmark. Children's skin is particularly delicate/sensitive and naturally requires extra protection against the sun's rays. Good sun advice: • Small children who cannot crawl or walk should never be in direct sunlight • When children are in the sun, it is extremely important to protect their sensitive skin from the sun • Use sun products with a minimum SPF of 30 and UVA protection • If the sun product is a cream, use generous amounts (at least a handful for a child's body) • When playing in the sun, you can provide extra protection for the children by dressing them in light summer clothes and possibly a hat • Avoid the harsh midday sun between 12-3 PM. Seek shade! • Also protect against reflections from water and sand by applying some on ears, cheeks, nose, and hands/feet • REMEMBER to apply the sun product regularly, in generous amounts and preferably twice. Let it dry completely • No sun products are 100% water-resistant! So if the children have been in the water, sweated, or been dried with a et towel, it is time to apply it again.
