Child Gates & Stair Gates

Has the little one started to crawl or walk? While it is lovely to see the little one exploring around the home, the experience can certainly be mixed with a lot of concern. Especially if, for example, the fireplace or stairs have not been secured with a gate. At Mammashop, we have several different safety gates, so we are sure to have a solution that fits your home. Choose from several different series of safety gates, and feel free to use our guide at the bottom of the page to find out which child safety products you need at home.

Child Gates

Make your home child-safe with a stair gate. Children are born curious and love to explore wherever they can. As soon as your child has learned to move, they will undoubtedly explore the home. Stairs and fireplaces are two places that pose a significant safety risk. But you can easily stay ahead of the safety by installing a stair gate in areas that present a danger zone. This way, your baby can explore without you having to worry.

At Mammashop, we have several series of child gates. Overall, we have pressure-mounted gates, wall-mounted gates, and gates in the Flex series. The pressure-mounted gates and those from the Flex series can be extended by adding extension sections that are linked to the series.

Safety

It is your responsibility as a parent to protect your child from potential danger zones in the home. When it comes to securing stairs and areas with access to high heat, such as fireplaces, a stair gate or a  child gate is a good solution. A stair gate can be adjusted to fit the specific area, thereby increasing safety in your home.

What kind of gate should we choose?

There are different models with various methods for setting up the gate. Some are screwed into the wall or door frame, while other models are mounted under pressure – hence the name pressure-mounted gate. With a pressure-mounted gate, you avoid marks and holes in the frame or wall. This type of gate is most suitable for the bottom of a staircase and in front of doors to, for example, the kitchen and laundry room. In contrast, the models that are screwed into the door frame or wall are perfect for the top of the stairs and for protecting various rooms.

Quality

High quality and good safety are, in our opinion at Mammashop, interconnected when it comes to stair gates. A high-quality stair gate creates the right conditions for safety in your home, allowing both your baby and you to move around safely. Therefore, Mammashop has not compromised in the selection of stair gates. The stair gates in our webshop are of high quality and meet the new standards.

Pressure-Mounted Gates

Our range of pressure-mounted gates includes: Two-Way Auto Close, Premier, Danamic, and Gate ToGo. Here you can extend with Extend-A-Gate extension sections, which, except for Gate ToGo, fit the gates. The Extend-A-Gate extensions are 7 cm wide and can be purchased individually or in a package of 2. For the stability of the gates, we recommend that you do not exceed the number of extensions mentioned below:

Two-Way Auto Close: Max. 2 Extend-A-Gate extensions

Premier: Max. 6 Extend-A-Gate extensions

Danamic: Max. 3 Extend-A-Gate extensions.

Wall-mounted gates

The wall-mounted gates are the classic safety gates that we all know. Our series of wall-mounted gates consists of: Multidan, Flexi Fit, and Guard Me. The gates, except for Guard Me, cannot be extended. They are permanently mounted in the wall around, for example, stairs and are easy to remove. The Guard Me solution can be extended by up to 24 cm if you supplement with an Extend-A-Guard. We recommend that you only extend with one Extend-A-Guard to ensure the stability of the gate.

Flex gates and Park-A-Kid

The Flex series is our most popular solution, as it offers plenty of options to customize the gate to your specific needs. The Flex series includes Flex M, Flex L, Flex XL Fireplace gate, and Park-A-Kid. All models are wall-mounted and stable enough to be extended with the number of sections you need. The Flex gates can also be connected to the Park-A-Kid playpen, allowing you to design your own safety solution. Flex extensions are available in two lengths: 33 cm and 72 cm. You can also supplement with an extra door section of 72 cm.
