If mum's or dad's arms become far too tired, the hammock cradle is the best replacement when baby needs to settle down. Most babies love being held close and rocked to sleep. Most parents need a helping hand at some point, whether they need a little rest themselves, a much-needed hair wash or the time and peace to eat a meal at the same time as the rest of the family.
The hammock cradle is soft and comfortable and consists of 100% organic cotton and comes with a mattress with polyester filling, sheet and spring. The hammock cradle comes with a screw-lock carabiner, so you can attach the hammock cradle directly to the included spring. The carabiner is protected with rubber to guard against any metal splinters.
The twin hammock cradle with motor can be used up to 15 kg (combined weight of your babies).
If you wish to separate the two hammock cradles into two separate cradles, you can easily do so with our conversion kit. Once the hammock cradles are separated, they can be used up to and including 15 kg per hammock cradle.
Guide to a good start:
✓ Introduce the hammock cradle to your baby when he/she is full and tired.
✓ Keep a hand on your baby and perhaps sing a little song, so your baby knows you are there.
✓ Gently rock the hammock cradle up and down by hand.
✓ If your baby becomes unsettled and upset, pick your baby up again, comfort your baby and try again later or the next day.
Height test:
Before using your hammock cradle, it is important to ensure that there is sufficient space between the cradle and the floor. You can test this as follows:
Install your motor and hammock cradle as stated in the included manual.
Place an object in the cradle that is equivalent to your baby's weight.
Now stretch the spring as far as possible by pulling it downwards until the spring's safety strap is fully extended. When the Safety Strap is fully extended, there must be sufficient space between the floor and the ceiling so that the cradle does not touch the floor. Check this regularly.
