ABOUT SISTEMA Ocean Bound

Sistema Ocean Bound is a range of packed lunch products made from 50% recycled ocean-bound plastic. Plastic waste is collected from land, coasts, waterways, rivers and beaches to prevent it from ending up on the bottom of the ocean. The collected plastic is cleaned and refined through recycling processes. Refined ocean-bound plastic is mixed with new plastic material, and new high-quality food-approved storage ranges and drinking bottles are moulded from the combined plastic materials.

Ocean-bound plastic refers to plastic waste that has been improperly disposed of on land, coasts, waterways and rivers, posing a risk of polluting the ocean. Plastic waste generated within a radius of 50 km from coastlines is often poorly managed and can potentially become marine debris.

All Sistema products are 100% free from BPA, Phthalates and other harmful substances.
