Packing list for childbirth:
3-4 weeks before the due date, it can be a good idea to pack the bag you need to take to the hospital – You cannot be completely sure when the little one will announce their arrival.
- Birth journal
- Health insurance card
- Loose clothing for mom – including slippers.
- Nursing bra and nursing pads.
- Clothes for baby.
- Outerwear for baby – for the trip home.
- Toiletry bag with various items.
- Maternity pads – not all delivery/birth rooms have some that can be used during the stay.
- Large underwear – maternity pads are somewhat larger than regular ones. You might borrow a pair of your husband's boxers.
- Diapers for baby – a few in both size 1 and size 2, as it is not known in advance what fits the baby best. Not all delivery/birth rooms have some that can be used during the stay.
- Pacifier – washed and sterilized.
- Cloth diapers – not all delivery/birth rooms have some that can be used during the stay.
