Hoppekids is Danish design

Hoppekids is a Danish-owned children's furniture company with a great love for the environment – and functional furniture for the children's room. Therefore, several of Hoppekids’ pieces of furniture carry the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, and throughout the entire production process, the greatest possible consideration is given to the environment and nature. The surface of all their furniture is treated with water-based, environmentally friendly lacquer.

When you buy furniture from Hoppekids, you get durable, high-quality furniture that also has as little impact as possible on the environment and indoor climate. At the same time, you get furniture with high safety standards and good options for adapting it to your child's exact needs – even if those needs change.

Hoppekids’ creative textile universes truly spark the imagination in children's rooms. The different themes take your child on adventures with knights, princesses, dinosaurs or the beautiful unicorn. Only the imagination sets the limits.

Mammashop always has a wide selection of Hoppekids beds and furniture. We are always ready to advise and guide you, so please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need help.

Who is behind Hoppekids?

Hoppekids is, as mentioned, a Danish company. It was founded by René Stenvang back in 1996, and Hoppekids therefore has more than 20 years of experience producing environmentally friendly children's furniture of high quality.

René is the father of three children. He therefore knows the challenges of furnishing children's rooms and having to adapt everything to the child's individual needs and age. With that knowledge in mind, René set out to develop high-quality children's furniture. The environment and durability are key priorities for Hoppekids, because it makes no sense to make furniture for children while destroying the planet they will inherit from us. Therefore, Hoppekids has a number of initiatives to make its furniture as environmentally friendly as possible. You can read about them below.

Hoppekids itself says that its children's furniture is designed with heart and soul, which means that the focus is precisely on durability and quality – and in addition, Hoppekids supports many different initiatives that help ensure the world we as adults leave to our children.

Nordic Swan Ecolabelled children's beds in FSC-certified wood

Hoppekids was the first in the world to have its bed ranges BASIC and PREMIUM awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Later, they also had their IDA-MARIE junior bed and ANTON cot awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is your guarantee that the greatest possible consideration has been given throughout all stages of the product's life cycle to the Environment, the people who work with the products and, not least, the children who will use the products.

All Hoppekids furniture is made from FSC-certified wood, which is produced under strict requirements, strict principles and close control. In addition, all furniture is treated with water-based, environmentally friendly lacquer without unnecessary chemicals.

Hoppekids has chosen this precisely because it is so focused on producing sustainable children's furniture – and as a parent, you can therefore be sure that with Hoppekids.

Functional furniture of high quality

Over the past 20 years, Hoppekids has gained plenty of experience with children's rooms – and how children like to build, rebuild, design and change their rooms. They therefore know how children's needs and requirements for their dream room change over time.

But it can be a major and expensive task to keep furnishing the children's room in new ways. Therefore, Hoppekids aims to create multifunctional furniture with plenty of possible uses and a long lifespan.

Therefore, many of Hoppekids’ pieces of furniture are also modular, so they can be adapted to your child's current needs and wishes. A very good example is the BASIC and PREMIUM bed systems. They are designed so that, starting with a junior bed, you can build exactly the bed you want. If you are looking for a mid-sleeper bed, simply place a mid-sleeper module under the junior bed and voilà – you have a mid-sleeper bed. If you one day get tired of the mid-sleeper bed, simply remove the module.

At the same time, the beds are so durable that they can be passed down from older siblings, and thanks to the many accessory options, the bed can be adapted to the wishes of a younger brother or sister.

Safety in the children's room

You probably know that the role of mother or father comes with a lot of worries. Is everything safe enough? Am I doing something wrong? And how can I ensure that my child is as well as possible? Hoppekids knows all these worries, and therefore spends a great deal of time and energy ensuring the safety of its children's furniture and beds.

Thus, all Hoppekids children's furniture is tested precisely so that you can be sure that with a Hoppekids bed, a Hoppekids chair or a Hoppekids changing unit, you get the most optimal product in terms of safety.

Anton - Nordic Swan Ecolabelled baby bed

Hoppekids cares deeply about the environment – and has therefore chosen to work towards having its furniture awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Thus, several of Hoppekids’ pieces of furniture carry the Nordic Swan Ecolabel – and one of the newest additions is the Hoppekids ANTON baby bed, which has been awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel as the only baby bed in the world. Thus, the ANTON baby bed is a really good choice for you if you are looking for a baby bed. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel means that production meets strict requirements concerning the environment and sustainability. In addition, the materials – wood and paint – are completely free from harmful substances, which means you can safely leave your baby to a secure night's sleep in the lovely ANTON baby bed from Hoppekids.

Cot bumper – extra security and comfort

Hoppekids cot bumper creates a cosy and soft barrier between your child and the bed. The cot bumper shields against cold and draughts, while also giving your child a little extra calm because it can reduce impressions from the surroundings, making it easier to fall asleep.

If you have a future football player, the cot bumper creates a soft barrier and provides a little extra protection if a little foot kicks the side of the bed.

The cot bumper from Hoppekids is made of quilt batting wrapped in soft cotton. The cot bumper is attached with cute ties, and the ends are fastened together with Velcro. The cot bumper can easily be washed at 30 degrees.

Available in several colours, and also as a cradle bumper.

Junior beds in several different sizes and colours

When your child gets a little bigger – and has outgrown the baby bed – it is time for a junior bed. Junior beds from Hoppekids are available in different sizes: 70x160 cm, 70x190 cm and 90x200 cm.

A 70x160 cm junior bed is the natural replacement for the baby bed, because the small size provides security while also leaving room to grow. At the same time, the bed can fit into almost any room. The bed is suitable for children up to approximately 8 years old, depending on your child's height.

A 90x200 cm junior bed is a large and lovely bed that can be used throughout childhood. It has plenty of room to grow, and the length means that you can easily lie beside it if comfort or bedtime settling is needed.

Both the beds and the lovely textile ranges come in different colours. This makes it easy to furnish the dream room.

Bunk beds and tiered beds

If you share a room or have children who often have overnight guests, you may want to look at Hoppekids’ selection of different bunk beds/tiered beds.

Many children find it cosy to sleep together because it provides a little extra security to hear the other one sleeping. The lower bunk can always be used as a play bed during the day, and with a curtain in front, it even creates a cosy little den.

Hoppekids’ bunk beds meet the same strict safety and environmental requirements as all other Hoppekids furniture, which is your assurance that you get a bunk bed / tiered bed of the best quality.

What is the difference between Hoppekids Basic and Premium?

Hoppekids is known, among other things, for its Basic and Premium ranges. These are two different ranges with different prices and quality. Both ranges are beds of impressive quality, but with Premium you get more options to purchase modules. This allows you to assemble your bed in many fun ways – exactly as you wish. Likewise, Premium beds use thicker wood. The corner posts on Premium measure 6.5x6.5 cm, while those on Basic measure 5.2x5.2 cm.

What is the delivery time for Hoppekids?

Most Hoppekids beds are sent directly from their warehouse. The delivery time is usually 8–12 days depending on when you order. We always recommend that you order well in advance of when you need the bed.

What does it mean that the furniture carries the Nordic Swan Ecolabel?

Hoppekids furniture carries the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, which means that it is produced sustainably. Environmental accounts must be provided for the entire production process. From felling the trees to the finished delivered product. Likewise, no toxic chemicals may be used in the manufacture of the products. This gives you a label showing that the furniture is safe and healthy for you and your child (and good for the environment). Mammashop sells changing boards for chests of drawers from Hoppekids.
