Mattresses for Children
At Mammashop, we have many different mattresses for children. When you are going to buy a children's mattress, it is important to first and foremost know the dimensions of the bed in question. Some junior beds measure 70x160 while others measure 60x140 cm, so it is incredibly important that you first measure what size mattress fits your bed.
Unfortunately, we often experience that many believe that mattress sizes for a children's bed are the same regardless of brand. At Mammashop, you will find children's mattresses from several well-known brands.

Mattress for Children
With us, you will find mattresses for children in all the most popular and common sizes. For example, you will find both mattresses in 80x200 cm, 90x200 cm, and 160x70 centimeters, as well as mattresses that also fit cribs, strollers, and much more.
Which mattress should I choose?
It can often be difficult to choose which mattress you should get for your children's bed. To make it easier for you, we have a few points you should pay attention to and consider before you choose the mattress for your child.
Choosing Thickness
If you look at our selection, you will quickly find that we have the same type of mattress in several different thicknesses. For example, we have a Hoppekids mattress in two different thicknesses, but made from the same material. The two thicknesses are 9 cm and 12 cm respectively. The only difference between the two children's mattresses is the thickness.
A question we often receive in customer service is: What thickness should I choose?
The answer may seem simple, but it is not quite so. Because it is actually the legislation that determines what thickness you should have.
If you have a loft bed, there are indeed rules about how many centimeters there are between the top of the mattress and the top of the bed edge. The minimum height here is important for the child's safety, so the child does not fall over the bed rail and down to the floor.
Therefore, we always recommend that if you have a bed where the child sleeps high (either a high, medium, or half-high bed), we definitely recommend you go for the thinner mattress. In this case, 9 cm thickness.
What many do not think about is that children do not weigh much and generally do not have the same requirements for sleeping comfort as adults do. Therefore, if you buy a 9 cm thick mattress, you will find that the child cannot press the mattress down when lying and sleeping – the same will not be possible for an adult either. The difference between 9-12 cm thus has no significance in terms of sleeping comfort but only a safety significance.
Sleeping Dimensions
When you choose the children's mattress you want, you should double-check that the sleeping dimensions match the bed you have. We always recommend that you measure the bed's internal dimensions (width and length) and thereby choose the mattress that fits your bed.
Far too many take it for granted that all junior beds have the same sleeping dimensions and therefore all “mattresses for junior beds” fit my junior bed. However, this is far from the case.
